Look Up

VERSE 1
Don’t worry about your life,
What you will eat — it’ll be all right.
Receive and then give it away,
For God is love — it’ll be OK.
Look up at the birds of the sky,
Not storing away for a rainy day, free as they fly.
Look up, for God will provide.
Does worrying now add one more hour to your life?
VERSE 2
Don’t worry about your clothes,
The judgment of those who can’t see your soul.
Seek Jesus — in Him abide,
And you will find He is on your side.
Look up — a field bursting with flowers,
No final array could be displayed by any power.
Look up, and hold your head high,
He’s sowing good seed, He’ll meet your need, He’ll supply.
VERSE 3
Don’t worry about your plans,
The Kingdom of God is now at hand.
Put worry away on the shelf,
Tomorrow will worry about itself.
Look up — don’t fret the unknown,
Each day can be rough, there’s trouble enough of its own.
Look up — that’s all you must do:
The race has been won, He’s overcome, you don’t have to.
The race has been won, He’s overcome, it’s all made new.
The race has been won, He’s overcome — He loves you.
REFLECTION
Psalm 55:22 — “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Matthew 6:26 — “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
